HDR Photography Tutorial
We have just created a tutorial on HDR photography with Adobe Photoshop. The tutorial has been made using this architectural landscape photo looking over London Wall at night.
If you enjoy shooting urban nightscapes then this tutorial on HDR photography will be right up your street. The process can be applied to interiors and exterior photography where there is a wide tonal range.

Princes Trust Ambassadors Take 2
Another pr photography shoot for the Princes Trust Ambassadors. This time in the Macquarie Group Foundation building on Ropemaker Street in London. The ideas and inovation coming from the group of 18 to 30 year olds was refreshing to witness when considering current affairs.
I had a birds eye view of a protest camp at London Wall whilst in the building. It was odd looking down on a camp site nestled in between skyscrapers. I admire there stance and understand there cause. Being amongst young people who are really struggling to get a foot hold made the protest camp more poignent.
The Princes Trust Ambassadors Meeting
The Princes Trust held a meeting for there UK Ambassadors in London on Tuesday. Photopro.co has received a lot of valuable business advice for the organisation so we were honoured to provide PR and portraiture photography on the day pro bono.
The Princes Trust is one of the few organisations supporting young entrepreneurs at the moment and it should be cherished.

Speed Networking at The Brighton and Hove Business Show
(Picture removed due to intellectual property infringement!)
Had a bit of fun during some speed networking at The Brighton and Hove Business Show today. I was a bit dubious of this approach to networking but I have got one good lead for a series of internet videos and a handful of contacts to email regarding future work. Look forward to the next one!

Deans Business Club Hits Brighton
A beautiful day to be in Brighton attending Deans Business Club at the Thistle Hotel (not pictured!). We were given a fantastic talk from Argus Business Editor John Keenan who highlighted the foundations of a good story.
Paul Yates-Smith, who organises the event, gave the group three very good tips on selling skills. I was given the chance to wax lyrical about the selling power of good photography, an argument which was championed by John Keenan.

Catherine Yass at The De La Warre
I would recommend going to see Catherine Yass at the De La Warre pavilion in Bexhill before the exhibition closes in September. I was initially put off by an article on the show but it's definitely one you have to see to enjoy.
My preference is with her light box pieces (pictured). The images are made out of a mixture of positive and negative exposures resulting in a vivid aesthetic. Yass's approach creates a stark contrast in comparison to her banal subjects.

Margate Photo Festival
I had a fantastic time at the Margate Photo Festival today. My first visit to the Turner home ground but it will certainly not be the last. There was a good deal of talent on show backed up by some vintage prints from Martin Parr.
One of the more intriguing exhibits was a performance piece by James Hodgson. At this point he was beckoning me (non-verbally) to hand him another piece of coloured card to patch up his makeshift home.
His show stood out from the crowd by rejecting sincerity and embracing a playful spirit. He came out of his shell eventually to timidly present a female viewer with some stickers.
The Turner Contemporary was good and bad in equal measures. This picture is of the entrance and displays a portion of a piece by Daniel Buren. It was the most impressive art I witnessed in the introductory show but I'm probably tired from the journey.

Food Photography
All areas of the catering industry in the Sussex area should keep an eye out for Photopro.co's new food photography flyer which will be circulating as of Monday.
We have realised that this is a service that demands more attention. We enjoy doing it and we enjoy doing it well.
The front image is from a previous job for Al Duomo Restaurent in Brighton. The original intention was to put the images online and in the menu. However, Alberto the owner was so happy with the results he now has the images adorning his restaurant's walls.
